Common Stoner Problems and How to Fix Them

Oh no, the worst you've imagined just came true: you ran out of snacks just as the munchies hit, or you got a text that your boo is coming home and the house and reeks of weed, or you simply ran out of your favorite strains just when you need it most.  These are all stoner problems, and the struggle is real when something that might or might not be in your control happens.  At its worst, your day can be ruined, leading to increased stress, anxiety, and overall displeasure in life.  Rest assured, all these problems happen to the best of us.  At the very least, you can make some adjustments on how to best avoid these situations altogether.

Without further ado, here are the most common stoner problems you wish you never experienced.  And how to go about fixing them.


1. YOU RUN OUT OF WEED

Let's just start it off with the most painful: you went dry.  Just after you snapped the bowl in your bong, sadness overtakes you as you realize that was the last piece of weed in your stash.  A wave of negative emotion sweeps over you as you realize that you'd have to leave the house, go to a dispensary, and spend even more money getting that stash replenished back to a healthy amount of greens.

On top of that, COVID is still going on, the holiday season is starting up soon, and really...just being outside in general during both of these times sounds like a whole thing.  The fact of the matter remains, however, you're out of weed...what are you going to do that?


SOLUTION: DON'T GO TO THE WEED...MAKE THE WEED COME TO YOU!

Lazy stoners rejoice!  No longer are the days that you need to physically go pick up your weed.  Even before COVID, the days of having everything delivered to you already caught popularity within the cannabis community.  Delivery services such as Grassdoor and eaze offer delivery service state-wide whereas other delivery services might excel in one particular area.  Keep in mind that most large-scale delivery services operate a lot like UBER Eats where it's an independent driver going to the dispensary for you and dropping off your goodies.  If you opt for a smaller delivery service that's both a dispensary and a delivery you'll most likely save some money!

Next time you find yourself running dry or have already achieved the dreaded-dry level, head on over to Weedmaps and find what you're looking for.  After about an hour, expect your goodies ready to be demolished! 


2. BROKEN GEAR

You know what sucks?  Getting ready to blaze and your pipe or bong just shatters.  Whether it was your fault, a homie's fault or really just bad luck, the sight of broken gear is not an easy pill to swallow.  After all, what is there to do when your only method of enjoying your favorite strains  just slipped through your fingers?


SOLUTION: KEEP EMERGENCY ROLLING PAPERS ON HAND

Just like how we're sure you have at least 5 lighters in your immediate possession, having a pack of rolling papers or even taking a trip to the convenience store for a Double Dutch cigarillo should come in clutch for some emergency blazing seshes.  On top of that, after you blaze up, you can take a trip to the smoke shop to replace your pipe or bong.  Hopefully it'll be a little more sturdy and less prone to breaking.


3. GETTING TOO HIGH TO FUNCTION

Between nausea, light-headedness, dizziness, paranoia, and overall feelings of misery as you find yourself high as a kite, these are all tell-tale signs that you overdid and are in fact, too high to function.  Any plans for the day are postponed and if you happen to be a very busy person like us, this severely throws a wrench in your plans.

As high as you might find yourself, just know that overdoing it with weed is a temporary experience; and it happens to the best of us, regardless of how seasoned we might be with cannabis.

Since the experience is temporary, there are a number of things you can do to help yourself get through the experience of being too high.


SOLUTION: GET YOURSELF OUT OF BEING TOO HIGH

If you find yourself too high to function, we actually wrote a blog about what you can do to ease that experience along.  For some quick tips, try to breathe deeply and stay hydrated.  No matter how scary being too high feels like, remember that this will pass.  If you have access to Full Spectrum CBD or even just candy, the effects of CBD and sugar can counteract the THC significantly.


4. YOU SMELL LIKE WEED

As great as weed can be, it's important to remember that not everyone likes the smell of it, let alone you, their homie always reeking of its aroma on everything you have.  Whether it's lingering on your clothing or completely consuming your living space, the smell of cannabis smoke isn't always a pretty picture.


SOLUTION: DO YOUR BEST TO LOOK AND SMELL YOUR BEST

If you have a serious case of weed stench, investing in a proper air freshener for your living space and also stocking up on deodorant and body spray can do wonders!


5. BEING STUCK IN THE ENDLESS LOOP WITH NOTHING TO WATCH

This stoner problem hits on so many levels.  I say this because I literally suffered from this last night after blazing up.  You've probably found yourself in this pickle, too.  You'll blaze up with the intent of watching something on Netflix or your preferred streaming service.  Then once you're nice and toasty, you're just endlessly scrolling through an unlimited amount of movies and TV shows without actually choosing something to invest your time in.  That's one wasted sesh if we do say so ourselves.

On top of that, you're still high enough to not fix the issue, thus further throwing yourself into a bout of psychoactive confusion.


SOLUTION: PLAN AHEAD

Since it's already an issue that you're too high to pick something to watch, our best recommendation would be for you to load up your queue with TV shows and movies BEFORE you choose to toke up.
