Where in Cali Can We Be High?

Where in Cali Can We Be High?

California is a pretty dope place.  We've got beaches, mountains, deserts, forest, and the best weed in the country!  But living here, it's easy to get caught up in the draining monotony of the everyday: bad traffic, soaring rent and what's really starting to feel like overcrowding.

That's why it's important to take some time to get a little perspective on just how great we have it here!  So call up your homies, grab a couple of our Twinsies Infused Pre-Roll packs and check out some of the coolest spots the state has to offer.

DO SOME URBAN EXPLORING AT THE OLD LOS ANGELES ZOO

If you've never sparked a J and done some urban exploring, you're seriously missing out!  Urban exploration is all about checking out those manmade, concrete jungle structures - which are everywhere by the way.  The old LA Zoo is a perfect example of how these amazingly eerie places are hidden in plain sight.  The idea that at one time, not only was the zoo literally falling apart, it was also a place teeming with people, excitement, and life.  It's sometimes hard to wrap your head around it.

California is full of abandoned structures, some of the best being the LA Zoo, the Sutro Baths up in San Francisco, and Bodie, an abandoned boomtown built during the California Gold Rush that is said to not only be abandoned, but seriously haunted.  Explore that one at your own risk - and if you do visit Bodie, be sure to not take anything, as that is said to unleash the curse on you and your loved ones.  Grab your Weedsy and check out Atlas Obscura for a list of Abandoned Places in California.

STAY IN NEXT LEVEL LODGING

We all know the California real estate game is crazy, and for good reason, too!  Our beautiful state is home to some of the weirdest and coolest homes you've probably ever seen.  You can stay in a literal treehouse with an ocean view, a desert dome in Palm Springs or a Spanish Villa in Wine country.  Definitely pack enough Watermelon Infused pre-rolls for you and your squad to stay lit during your staycation.

REMEMBER, KNOCK TWICE AT YOUR LOCAL SPEAKEASY

If you've never been a speakeasy, add that to your bucket list.  And even if you're not the drinking type, you're welcome to toke up and head in!  Speakeasies are next-level vibes and became popular during prohibition of the 1920s and 30s, when most people had to indulge on a IYKYK basis.

Today, most speakeasy spots are still hidden inside other building, and these days, we love them for their intimate environments, custom made drinks, and over-the-top rituals required for entry.

Down south in Highland Park, northeast Los Angeles county is the Blind Barber.  The front of the shop is an innocent-looking barbershop.  Head through the white door and you're met with the speakeasy, barbershop themed drinks galore.

Up north, in San Francisco, is the Bourbon and Branch.  Taking a page from techno clubs in Germany, this spot requires a password to enter, prohibits cell phones and pictures inside, and even has a hidden back exit to the patio reserved for canna-enthusiasts.  So be sure to pack lightly, befriend someone to get in, and blaze the night away with your favorite Weedsy strains!

GET SO BAKED YOU TRIP AT ONE OF THOSE TRIPPY MUSEUMS!

Did you know that California is home to over 1,000 museums?  With that many choices, there's truly something for everyone - creepy, nerdy, artsy, historic - you name it!  If you're the type to get stoned before looking at some dope artwork, check out the allegedly haunted Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, of the Museum of Death in Los Angeles.  If you need a mood booster before or after seeing the creepy and trippy nature of these spots, consider getting baked with the Boo Berry Pie Twinsies.  The weed alone is strong enough to make even the bravest of people squeamish!

WAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE AT SAFARI WEST

Northern Cali might not be what comes to mind when you think "African Safari," so Safari West is sure to be a surprise to you!  Nestled just outside Napa Valley in Santa Rosa and about a two-hour drive from the Bay Area, Safari West is home to a sprawling sanctuary that houses nearly 100 different types of animals, including giraffes, rhinos, hyenas, cheetahs, flamingos, zebras, and more!  It is a smoke free environment, so we recommend getting in a little early, medicating with your favorite Weedsy strains in the car beforehand, then going in to keep all the animals safe.

Besides, seeing all the animals high is infinitely better, after all.

A tour of the grounds take about three hours and includes time to walk around the park to get up close everyone!

GET HIGHER THAN EVER AT THE PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY

If you really want to het high, take a trip out to Palm Springs and ride on their Aerial Tramway, a breathtaking ride form the flats of Palm Springs to the peaks of the Chino Hills, where you can get out look around, spark up one of our Weedsy Green Apple Infused pre-rolls and enjoy the insane views, as well as hiking, camping, dining, and a ton of other outdoor activities to explore!

GET WEIRD AT THE HOW WEIRD STREET FESTIVAL

The West Coast is well-known for its festivals.  The state experiences near-perfect weather almost exclusively year round, so it makes sense that we would bask in the California sun as often as possible.  During the Spring, Summer, and Fall in nearly every part of the state, you find some king of outdoor festival with drinks flowing, music pumping and ganja burning freely..

One of the trippiest events is the How Weird Street Faire held every October in downtown San Francisco.  This type of festival welcomes "weirdos" from all walks of life to celebrate peace, creativity, and weirdness.  There's a lot to take in, with eight performance stages, vendors, food, and cannabis experiences.  Be sure to walk in stocked up and ready with a few Twinsies pre-rolls for you and your homies to truly enjoy and to keep your vibes high!

PICK YOUR OWN FRUIT IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY

One of the true hidden gems is our huge agricultural community, just outside the city.  Within driving distance of nearly every major city in the state, you can drive to a local farm and pick your own produce!  And for a city slicker, this can be a really unique and fun experience.  A day out in the Cali Sun, puffing a Watermelon Infused pre-roll and pick some juicy and delicious fruit to munch on while high, is the perfect way to spend a stoney Saturday!
